Who can join?

YAP works with groups in Mpigi and Butambala, including savings circles, sports teams, faith groups and YoSkills graduates.

A group needs at least 10 committed members, a chapter lead and a secretary. Members agree to meet regularly, keep records and complete foundation training together.

What support does YAP provide?

Business skills

Planning projects, costing products, managing money and keeping records.

Group organisation

Support with meeting records, group responsibilities, savings systems and preparing to open a group account.

Applications and connections

Help preparing information for relevant opportunities, plus introductions to peers, mentors and potential partners. Eligibility and funding depend on each programme.

Support a chapter

Partners can contribute training, equipment, mentoring or funding. Ask for the chapter’s current plan and budget.

From learning to mentoring

The 2025 annual report calls this network Youth Action Pathways (YAP). YoSkills graduates join the network, mentor current learners, lead community skills workshops and support schools. Youth groups can also ask about organising meetings, keeping records and planning shared projects.
