A trade is one part of the picture

In July 2024, we introduced the thinking behind Yo Skills Entrepreneurship Circles. The proposal connected vocational and technical training with the work of running a business: understanding a market, planning, managing risks and working with other people.

It responded to a problem described in the article: starting a business does not automatically mean having the knowledge or support to keep it going. Practical training and business learning needed to sit alongside each other.
